The greatest research tool that will take over the online world IMHO is called stumble www.stumbleupon.com. Install the firefox web browser and then install stumble (do a google on it). Use that for site hopping research. Stumbling is a great way to research on specific subjects. (And it is so easy to use. Its fun) I don’t know how good all the categories are but if they as good as web development then you’ll love this tool.

This tool is the perfect match for internet. I actually think it is far better than google. And it gets better ever day. Read about the technology they use and you will see why it is destined to become massive.
